JPC UPDATE 2016

Hello,

The competition season will soon be over!

The Jersey Open Meeting ends this afternoon and a most successful meet it has been with pistoliers from abroad as well as the Channel Islands enjoying a variety of disciplines. Grateful thanks to the comp.sec. who have done a splendiferous job.

All that remains is the JPA (Jersey Pistol Association) Standard Pistol Island Championship at 09.00 on Sunday 11th September followed by the JPA Police Pistol 2 Island Championship at 14.00.

The following Sunday, 18th September, the JPA Service B Island Championship will take place at 13.45 and the JPA Police Pistol 1 Island Championship immediately after at 14.45.

Notes for your diary.

Saturday 17th September both ranges will be closed all day as the CCF are performing on the main range which means that all other shooting disciplines must be cancelled.

Likewise the ATC will be on the main range on Sunday 25th September in the afternoon so again all other ranges must close.

More importantly please note that our annual dinner and prize giving will take place on Saturday 15th October. The venue is the Hotel Cristina, 7.30pm for 8.00pm, and a comprehensive  three course menu for £27.00 per person will be forwarded later this week. We ask that all attendees pre-choose courses details of which should be sent to Gaynor Blake who will co-ordinate with the hotel. This makes for a much more efficient service and which leaves time for the main reason for being there, presentation and collection of prizes.

Looking further ahead the TA will be in attendance on the main range on Saturday 1st October, all day, so we will be closed and the ACF (Air Cadet Force) will be on the main range on Sunday 2nd October, afternoon only, so again we will have to close.

We will host a visit and competition with Cheshunt R&PC on 15th-16th October and then Highfield R&PC on 29-30 October.

That’s about it. Normal general shooting on Saturdays and Sundays to the end of the year not forgetting the annual Christmas shoot on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December when there is the opportunity to win a delectable Xmas hamper. Profits from this event are donated to the St Mary Senior Citizens Christmas lunch so a worthwhile cause.

Best regards and may all your shots be 10’s.
