JPC Centrefire Trophy 2021

The 25 metre Bob Blake Range played host to the 2021 JPC Centrefire trophy match on a sunny and still Easter Sunday morning, with 5 competitors in Class A and 2 in Class B, range attendance still limited as it is due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The match was closely fought, with malfunctions playing a key part in the proceedings. Greg Guida held an eleven point advantage going into the second half, with Chris Le Moeligou falling to third place due to an unclaimed malfunction in the second series. Le Moeligou managed to turn things around in the second half however, eventually finishing 3 points clear after 60 shots, with Mike Quenault missing out on crucial points due to two gun malfunctions during the rapid phase.

Meanwhile in class B, Gerard Baudains comfortably secured the win and his name on the trophy for another year.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone for shooting and helping out, particularly those setting up the range when the range officer was running late!
