The NRA 1500 Trophy, one of the most demanding precision‑and‑control matches on the Jersey Pistol Club calendar, was contested on the JPC 50m Range under steady spring conditions. The 150‑round aggregate remains a true measure of pistol skill, testing shooters across timed, rapid, barricade, and long‑range stages.
Match Format
The NRA 1500 course of fire consists of 150 rounds across multiple distances and shooting positions, including:
- 50‑yard precision — slow, deliberate fire demanding absolute stability
- 25‑yard timed and rapid — controlled cadence under pressure
- Barricade stages — positional discipline and sight alignment
- Kneeling and prone — technical body positioning
- Strong‑ and weak‑hand only — isolating core fundamentals
